Turkey Bean Chili


Serves 10 to 15.


2 pounds ground turkey
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
4 cans (14 1/2 ounces each) stewed tomatoes, cut-up
1 can (16 ounce) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (15 1/2 ounce) chili beans, undrained
1 can (15 ounce) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (15 ounce) black beans, drained and rinsed
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
2 Tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper


  1. In a Dutch oven or soup kettle, cook turkey, onion, and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
