Dirty Martini


6 ounces of freezing-cold plain vodka or Absolute Peppar see note
1 teaspoon of vermouth
6 picholine olives stuffed with crumbled blue cheese
Toasted almond slivers
Toothpicks


  1. Pour vodka into a well-chilled shaker and let stand for 30 seconds. Secure lid.
  2. While waiting, drop vermouth into 2 frozen martini glasses, swirl the vermouth around the glasses and then pour it out.
  3. Shake the shaker vigorously, followed by swirling it a few times. Strain freezing vodka into glasses.
  4. Insert an almond sliver into each stuffed olive and spear 3 per toothpick.
  5. Gently slide them into the glass.
